Covid-19 Action Alert

See important information below from Georgia Council on Developmental Disabilities (GCDD):

Congress and the administration are responding to the COVID-19 crisis in a variety of ways. It is important in this fast-moving decision process that the various relief and safety efforts meet the needs of people with disabilities.
Congressional efforts created so far include:
  • The Coronavirus Preparedness and Response Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2020. This bill requires that agencies "pay back" money that was moved from programs like the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research, and emergency heat funding when the crisis began. 
  • The Families First Coronoavirus Response Act which provides free coronavirus testing for everyone who needs one, including the uninsured. It increases paid leave,
