Posted on Home by Jennifer Sheran · March 16, 2018 11:43 AM

Daniel Faust, 22, has the world ahead of him. He is an exercise science major at Georgia State and lives on the Atlanta campus.Daniel Faust Daniel will be graduating this summer.

After graduation, Daniel would like to either open his own sports therapist practice or work on a football team as a physical therapist and trainer.

Daniel knows what it is like to work hard to reach a goal. he played on his High School football team at Athens Christian High School and received the JV Most Dedicated Award and as a senior was honored with the Rudy Award exemplifying the 4 C’s (character, commitment, courage, contribution) on and off the football field.

Daniel also has an artistic streak. he plays guitar and acts. He was in 45 Seconds from Broadway in Middle School and in the Sound of Music in high school.

Other future goals for Daniel? "I want to be in a Pool (billiards) tournament and I would like to be in a calisthenics tournament."

Meet Daniel at our 3/21 Over 21 Party next week.

World Down Syndrome Day

World Down Syndrome Day 2018 Theme "What I bring to my community"

World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD), 21 March, is a global awareness day which has been officially observed by the United Nations since 2012. All people with Down syndrome must have opportunities to contribute to the community and live valued lives, included on a full and equal basis with others, in all aspects of society. People with Down syndrome can and do bring so much to the community, wherever they live around the world when given the opportunity. But many are prevented from making meaningful contributions.

On World Down Syndrome Day, Wednesday 21 March 2018, we are hosting a panel of young adults with Down syndrome who will share "what I bring to my community" at our first "3/21 Over 21 Party." The evening will include appetizers, beer and wine and the cost is $50 per person.
